The 1 - 2 combo of ZoneAlarm and Avast is pretty good. Running it on Windows 7.

AVG, but there's one virus which I know it hasn't caught before. That really bad one I told you about.

The free versions are not perfect, it depends on how fast they are updated. If not sure if there's already a virus I use this here, summer gave me the link once and it works every time. It does a full system scan and automatically removes malware.

Sorry Dow, didn't want to be rude, I just thought you didn't want to read the whole thread and asked for a short summary.

You can click on the download link, it tells you what to do. The text on the page tells you something about the product and some news, also system requirements. Maybe if you delete the /de/ in the link it will switch to English. Or google housecall trendmicro.

It wasn't rude at all, that's why I said barely - because I skim read things and often get totally the wrong info or misunderstand something even in plain English, so it was a fair question
