Perhaps a bit. It feels like it's becoming more about "how bizarre can I make this situation" and less about jokes and funny one-liners.

This does make sense in my head as part of a storyline I haven't finished revealing.
There's a logical reason why Bread Slice and Walter returned and a proper enemy explanation coming too
