Accepted a new job, now I gotta put my two weeks notice in at my current place... 4.5 years here

Significantly better pay, much better benefits

First day is the 21st, and my last day at my current will be the 19th.

It's kinda weird that they did it that way though, my first day is a friday, then I have a weekend off, then my second day is that monday.
Although that Monday I will have to drive down to the cities, which is an hour and a half-2 hour drive

Today I delivered some patio chairs to 121 S. 26th Street.... instead of 131 S. 26th Street.

Seems like my leaving is causing a mess at my current job.

My front-end manager is in a frenzy trying to figure out what to do with the shifts that I worked because she doesn't have someone to work those days.
My overnights are being taken over by the bakery kid, which puts them short a person.
Sounds like one of the days I used to work are going to be partially done by my night-manager, which he's absolutely not happy about.

Those are just the primary 3.

Day off yesterday! ) Helped a friend move. His heavy stuff. Up 18 steps into his new apartment.
Good clean fun....

Then we took a few minutes to hook up his old surround sound system by running the wires to each little golf ball-sized speaker up and through the ceiling tiles. The result was semi-professional, and I must admit it sounds pretty damned good.

Have a tuberculosis test tomorrow, that I gave to back Monday for the reading of.

I almost slammed a 24 thousand pound truck into a 3 thousand pound car. I was not paying attention, and when I looked up, my ninja reflexes kicked in and I went around on the shoulder. It was pretty exciting.

Worked my last day at this job today! Now I have tonight and tomorrow night to go from an overnight sleep schedule to an 8-4:30 day schedule!

And then after 2 weeks of 8-4:30, I'll be moving to 2-10:30

So from third to first, then to second? Wow! my only suggestion would be to get up earlier and earlier rather than trying to go to bed earlier.

I pulled my right shoulder a little. Not sure exactly how, since I move heavy stuff all day.

Worked less than ten hours today! Now BoGZ and I are getting ready to go visit Ninja and then see a show! We are seeing Sabaton, whom I have never seen, but Ninja is quite fond of. And then I am off tomorrow!

Luckilly, my Tuesday overnight got done super early, so I went to bed pretty much right when I got home.

I would have liked to properly adjust my sleep schedule, but I didn't have as much time as I liked to do it.

It was/is (tomorrow is my first day), a combined effort of "Hey, I need to go to bed early" on top of "Whether I sleep or not, at this time (Yesterday was 9:30), I'm getting up, and then today, I got up at 8, tomorrow I'm getting up at 6:30-7:00ish.

If I had had more time to adjust, I probably would have gone the other direction. Instead of going to bed at 7AM, I'd go to bed the next day at 10, then 1, then 4, and so on.

First half of the day was all getting talked to about what the facility is about and the benefits and whatnot.
After lunch we did a tour of the facility.

I passed my blood pressure test - got 122/81

We got new desks at work and they are way different, I don't do good with change - desks are smaller but lift up and down so I can stand in the office so that's cool

Standing is better than sitting.

I had a long day yesterday.... fixing things that went wrong during delivery. But hey, made some people happy,
and got paid. I guess it is not so bad.

Worked 7 hours today, but gonna get paid for 11 (yay 3 hours overtime!)
Because of 4 hours round trip travel time
Plus gas reimbursement.

Had to go to the DMV to straighten out my physical card. They thought it expired at the end of this month, but it really expires next year.

They were actually quite cooperative.

Forgot to change my address when I moved (This is a lie, I left it as my parents' address because I the drivers license I have, to change the address on it, I needed to provide a bunch of paperwork, proof if identity, proof of residency, proof I'm a US citizen, all that shazam!, so I jut left it.

But now I got Jury Duty Summons.. for the county I USED to live in.

One of my oldest friends texted me last night to say he is moving back to Pennsylvania. He and I had many hijinks together. I am really quite excited.

Got done with work a bit early, so I can finally attempt to start thinking about doing something about the lawn.

Also, I can feel a little tickle that tells me I am about to have another mid-life crisis.

A close friend of mine is moving back to town, and while having coffee yesterday he told me that his son thinks I am "the coolest person in the Universe." HA HA HA HA HA!

Slowly getting my heart crushed, it's fantastic. I'm probably gonna drink tonight, so yay.

I lead a sad life, and I just don't understand anything anymore.
