GreatZot wrote:The majority voted for Hillary. However, due to the nature of the Electoral College mr dump got the electorates. How? There is this thing called Jerrymandering, where they divide up political districts based on race and income and any other things that suit their whim and will more than likely get certain officials elected. In a big, symmetrical city, it is not uncommon to have voting districts that look more like the Kamchatka Peninsula than a group of relatively square city blocks. It is absurd, and needs to be abolished. Also, the electoral college needs to go. It was established when the VAST majority of American voters were uneducated and unable to get information. Now the smallest farms in Kansas still gets the internet. Even if they only watch Fox News they have more knowledge of the world than they did 200 years ago.

It sounds like our system, just more smurf up. Do electorates have any purpose other than to vote for the president? We vote for MPs which then decides who runs the country, but the MPs actually do something for their local area.

I never thought he took this task seriously and I highly doubt, even more so now, that he even realizes what it involves. He didn't do this to become president, he did it to be in the spotlights.

Which means that Pence will be running the show, which is even scarier.

The petition seems like a "I know it will never work but it's worth a shot" but realise that only 38 electors need to see it and say "holy shazam!" and vote against what they are supposed to vote for

38 electors, that's all Hillary needs over the current count

are underneath, it's what you do that defines you."

I don't want Trump in either guys, but as much as I hate to say it, we're stuck with him

Obama is now supporting him and helping him out - and said he will stick around longer than usual to make the transition as smooth as possible and help Trump as much as he can

Hilary has officially conceded

America's only chance now is to weather this presidency and hope reason will prevail.

I think America would become even more unstable if the electoral vote switcheroo happens and the riots and destabilization will get even worse. This is why Hilary isn't putting up a fight and Obama is being as helpful as he can, this is the situation and they are trying to make the best of it.

Just thinking if the riots against Trump were bad, the riots from some of the major nuts that support him if the rug is pulled under him on December 19th will be epic :(

I will do whatever I can to keep rights to my body, to keep my birth control affordable, and to keep my health insurance, regardless of how a bunch of right wing rednecks might react. I'm preparing for the worst, but I'm still hoping for the best. I need to.

I'm still hopeful it won't come to that, they can't let Trump destroy everything like that

He has a republican house and senate backing him, and will likely have some supreme court picks. Most republicans don't like Trump, but they don't like Obamacare either.

There is still a court case against him for fraud.

How someone with no political experience is soon to be in charge of your country, I do not know. Sure, he can make promises and win people over - he's a celebrity. But I still don't understand why someone would decide that someone with no political experience is the best person to rule the country.

Assuming most of you have seen the Biden/Obama memes, but if not:

I didn't know about the Clinton W-key thing.

Back in the 80s a small town in Italy elected a porn actress as mayor. During debates she would flash her boobs and whatnot. Italy is still here, right?

Maybe having Dump in the whitehouse will be a constant reminder for us to be vigilant against oppression and inequality wherever we see it. Maybe having a shazam! sandwich at the very top will remind us how bad shazam! sandwiches are. (side note: Dump actually digs fast food. Eats at McD and the others all the time. Ewwww....) Midterm elections are only two years away. Then 2020 both sides (all sides?) will actually offer up a REAL candidate instead of a shill.
