There is a fine line between porn and art. There is a finer line between keeping teenagers from getting boners and censorship. You block Brazzers, kids are going to get off to Botticelli's Venus. You filter all that,and welcome to 1984. Also, kids will just start getting off on each other instead. It is a game they can't win.

I think when I read the article it said it would be a default filter you could opt out of, and that they just wanted it to be harder to access.

Sure. Gifford Pinchot had the same feelings about alcohol after Prohibition ended, so he made the liquor laws in Pennsylvania so screwed up... you can't buy beer in a grocery store or anything like that. (well, until recently, and now it is only a few who had to apply for a special permit), you can only buy wine and liquor and a special state-owned store. There are only so many licenses to serve alcohol in a restaurant available in each county, and some counties have none. Yeah! in this day and age there are,"Dry" counties here in Pennsylvania!

So yeah, he wanted to make something he felt was a cause of immorality harder to get. Has it kept people from being drunk idiots? Not in the least. It just makes them more annoyed now before they get to have a drink.

If I don't want to look at boobies and pee-pees, that is fine. if I want to keep you from looking at them, I have stepped over the bounds.

Funny thing... if you make something harder to get, more people want it.

Right? I honestly feel like of nudity wasn't so banned, people would be more used to it, and porn would be much smaller industry

And also, if it's illegal to obtain, people will try to get it in illegal ways, which can cause health hazards if not death.
