Re: Pirates of the Carribbean 4
Horror movies do not need much plot. Just a bunch of suspense and blood and stuff. You know, horror movies are never considered for Academy Awards. I have seen some truly fantastic horror movies, but they will go unrecognized. Sad.

Re: Pirates of the Carribbean 4
Easier to name top 5 horror directors. Let's start a new thread.
SO.... a prequel could show random Jack Sparrow events with him narrowly avoiding the law or using his wiles to escape. But since the three main players only met in the first one.... well, it would have to be a piecemeal telling of different stories from different characters. Holy crap! You could get Tarantino to re-make Pulp Fiction with all the players from Pirates OTC! HA HA HA HA AA!
P.S. Tarantino is a hack and a thief.

It was great, one of my favorite movies, in fact, but still.....kind of a rip-off. Or so I've heard.

Re: Pirates of the Carribbean 4
Oh well. Rip off or not, I enjoyed it.
Anyway, how about we get Michael Bay to direct PotC 4? Nothing like Pirate ships being struck by nuclear warheads and spaceships and lasers and pewpewpewpew and BLAM! and 'Ker-Pow!' and then a scene where Mike Tyson bites off Davy Jones' tentacle and a Rocky and Bullwinkle Cameo and a whole scene dedicated to 'The Muppets Treasure Island' and *gasp*
yeah, it is going to be a terrible movie. Oh well

Re: Pirates of the Carribbean 4
I was half serious about Pulp Pirates of the Fictional Carribbean. Someone must have redone the "Le Big Mac" scene with clips from POTC...

Re: Pirates of the Carribbean 4
Well I don't see why it would have to be a prequel to be a separate set of stories. No reason that a bunch different stuff couldn't happen after the events of the first 3. Also I was always assuming that their would be at least a 4th after the way the ended the third. Im just saying there's no need to write a flim off before you've even seen it just because it happens to be part of a series, it depends on who they get invovled and how it turns out. Personaly I never liked any of the Star Trek films that were made in the past, it doesn't mean that im going to say the newest one is crap without even watching it..

Re: Pirates of the Carribbean 4
Well, I'm just trying to say that after everything the characters went through in the first 3, the expectations would be VERY high for the 4th as well, or it'll seem so anticlimactic.

All I'm saying is that Pirates 4 needs to be in space.
