Swappy 10

Post by Beany »

Who remembers the addictive, yet irritating game that was 2048? And who managed to get past 4096 (I think I had a friend manage 8192 once but she had no idea how she'd done it)?

Swappy 10 is a similar game, in the sense that it is about numbers on a 4x4 grid and the goal is to match the numbers to make them larger. The aim of the game is to get to 10, and you have to swap number tiles in order to do so, however as the title implies, you have to swap - you cannot put a tile in an empty space. I'm pointing this out because I keep getting this wrong.

Feel free to hate me for introducing you to this game and let me know how you find it. I've managed to get to 7 after half an hour's worth of attempts.

Still convinced that 2048 is a conspiracy that the world is gonna end in 2048

Interesting game logic. I have something to share, but I don't want to give away any spoilers.

Okay, it has been a while, so I don't think anything I share here will be a spoiler anymore.

Once you get 10, I like how it offers you a friendly tease instead of ending the game. "How about 15?" And it keeps going.

The "logic" of how pieces combine is a bit predictable. It sort of has to be to keep the game moving, but it makes it feel like you are playing someone else's script.

Still, it is fun, and I am about to play it again. :)

Mate. At least Clarence tried it.

The challenge it gives you of trying to get 15 after you get 10 makes me wonder if it tells you to get 20 when you get 15. Does it ever stop? I'm guessing it must do but perhaps not until it gets nearly impossible.
