Tron Legacy
Update! Trailer is officially out!
http://www.firstshowing.net/2009/07/24/ ... on-legacy/
So, yesterday was the big Tron Legacy (Tron 2) event at Comic-Con. They showed the trailer from last year, along with a full scene from the movie and various other things. The real cheese at the end of the maze was yet to come, though.
My buddy over there at FirstShowing.net received a package in the mail several days ago containing 2 'Flynn's Arcade' tokens and a flash drive with an animated .gif that showed css code. Anyway, it was #4 of 4 different animated .gifs that people received, and when all 4 were put together and decoded, it led to a website with directions to a street corner. Anyway, after a scavenger hunt for the location of the Arcade, they finally found it, and after messing around in the arcade, a room opened up in the back which led to various concept art designs from the film, as well as a Lifesize Lightcycle, seen here.
There is a video that Alex (runs firstshowing.net) posted from his iPhone of the concept art, and you can hear a music score from the film, all of which is done by Daft Punk. As you can tell, I am flipping out for this movie and WANT A DAMN TRAILER TO PUT PUBLICLY RELEASED.

Now, it is just test footage to sell the movie, but at this point, there is no other footage, so who the hell cares?

This looks amazing, thanks Pockets! Definitely going to watch it. When it comes out here. Which might be in two years from now.

Re: Tron Legacy
Bring it on Disney!
I want to have a go on one of those.
This is bound to be made into a game too, surely? A new one, I mean.

Re: Tron Legacy
It will, undoubtedly, but everyone knows that video games based off movies are always terrible.

Oh, I apologize. It does come out in 2010. I was mislead by something I read.

Re: Tron Legacy
Dude, the TRON videogame in the arcade was the cause of me wasting hundreds of hours and dollars during my youth. I STILL remember the patterns for the first 4 or 5 light cycle stages and tank stages.MisTer Pockets wrote:It will, undoubtedly, but everyone knows that video games based off movies are always terrible.
But if they were to make a TRON 2.0 it would almost certainly suck.

Re: Tron Legacy
Well, I should have said there are some exceptions. Of course EVERY movie based game doesn't suck. Although,, I have never played the TRON arcade game, so I suppose I missed out. The only arcade game I have spent waaaay too much money on was the 1989 TMNT Arcade game.
