Damn, that doesn't sound good. Get home safe, I hope you don't have to wait that long anymore.

A merry Christmas to all of you, nonetheless. May the next year bring better times. And sizz, you can drink on that for all of us. Cheers!

literal last minutes preperations are done. This is the lamest christmas presentation ever. No tags, no card envelopes and our tree is a bottom half tree with the top half another tree attached with duct tape.

Hey, considering your feelings towards Christmas in general Shay, I'm glad it's turned out alright!

Hope everyone is having/had a relaxing day. I had a really great xmas dinner today and spent so much of the day watching crap tv (haven't even touched my work today for the first time in months. though just thinking of that kind of fills me with dread ha). It's nice to have a break.

I got a remote car start.
Now I need to schedule an appointment to get it installed.
I would do it myself but I'd have no clue what to do.

I know I'm late to this, but hope you all had a good Christmas. I might start an LS thread if people want to share photos of their Christmases - I have a couple but don't really want them on the public board.

Money was tight all around this year, but my mom is the queen of bargain shopping and managed to get me a huge reflector and hanging arm. I made my stepdad's family pose for me so I could test it out. :D She found a secondhand copy of the Harry Potter cookbook in great condition. She likes having lots under the tree, so she also wrapped up different candy bars and such. My favorite gift was an ornament that my grandmother bought when I was born. It's a baby's first christmas ornament that talks about a grandmother's love.

I found some Ouija shot glasses for my mom, and I put the Christmas pics we took of the family in a scrapbook for her. I'm going to add to it every year.

For my kids, they each got a couple of fun gifts, plus clothes. Froot Loop got a bedroom and a multicultural cookbook for kids. Apple Jack got a handheld Leapster game and some Ninjago legos. Corn Pop got an Anna (from Frozen) dress and a stuffed Minnie Mouse.

I gave my dad a little wooden box that I'd decorated with a pic of my kids and some pretty paper so that he can keep his phone, reading glasses, and wallet safe while he moves from place to place fighting his cancer. I also took my kids to church for Christmas Eve. (Where FL quietly informed me that God's last name is Dammit. )

Instead of exchanging gifts, my brothers and I each added a bottle of liquor to my mom's bar, then got drunk and played Cards Against Humanity together at Thanksgiving. :D
