Upon further investigation, it appears your point chex no longer stands. The guy informed his leads and the other guards he was leaving his area. At no point was his area unattended while he was gone.

The only other thing I can think of then, would be that if something went wrong during the rescue, they'd be leaving themselves open. But that's really reaching, and if the designated swim area was not left unattended, he absolutely did the right thing, and I see no grey area.

Way to stick it to the man! The guy was offered his job back and he turned it down. I like this kid. (yes, I'm gonna call him kid even if he's only three years younger than me) :lol:
