Great questions you have there!
1. once you get to 100 posts you are allowed to sign a list that is a socially binding contract which states that you will never leave this forum.
2.You can share too much information as often as you like, but we mar or may not edit your post.
3.User Control Panel
4.We do that.
5. Certain topics are restricted to certain groups.
6.Level of the Week was being run by Shay, who is busy looking for a new apartment--
-- and dealing with her sissy mary boyfriend.

In addition to Zot's reply, if you sign the list and agree to stick around only then will you get the ability to change your own username.

Just spent ages trying to remember where it was and by the looks of it I could have just followed the Russian spam. Anyway,

You can't edit others' posts unless you have some form of power over the section in which they post (like Yaz can edit anything in Off Topic, me in Community, etc. - a demimod), or you're a global mod/admin/what are the others? (super admin, ultra admin, you get the idea).
So in relation to TMI, only global mods/admins/etc. can edit posts because the help section is not moderated by a demi. I hope that's helpful.

Step 1: Don't ask to be a mod.
Also one of the other steps would be bring bucket-loads of activity here to even require an additional mod here.
