I'm more jabbing at people who leave and NEVER COME BACK and even say they're not coming back, that doesn't make any sense.

Exactly - the people who leave and say that that'll never come back in some kind of important announcement before they go. Unless they're never going to have internet access again for the rest of their life then "never" coming back can only be through personal choice, and if someone chooses to piss off, then they shouldn't really expect a farewell party...

Nothing wrong with saying I can't/won't be around much but will try to keep in touch if and when I can
