1934
1934 was arguably one of the worst years of the Great Depression as the world's economy hit rock bottom. As the situation seemed hopeless, more and more people turned to whoever promised them a better life. At this time in history, the rising leaders used peoples' fears and prejudices to rally support and create a scapegoat for the world's problems.

Duesenberg introduces the Model J, and this is the first year for the 7 liter "straight 8" motor to have a supercharger. The Duesenberg was intended to be an American powerhouse of a car to compete with the likes of Rolls Royce and Mercedes. Hoping to be the biggest, fastest, most luxurious and most powerful car built, their advertising was so pervasive that even today we hear the phrase,"That's a Duesy!" when referring to something big or otherwise impressive.

The stock market crashed! Still the worst the stock market has been in history. Terrible and scary time. My Grandfather who passed grew up during this time and it instilled him and passed down to us the value of the dollar, even penny and how to save, be very careful with money.

Hitler became leader of the Nazi party, where he would stay until his death near the end of WWII:
This is kind of messed up actually, he threatened to resign ... but he was the money and they needed him .... so then he said "Yeah, I'll stick around ... but I gotta lead this shazam!"
Not exact quote but damn, if they just called his bluff history would have been dramatically different:

Not exact quote but damn, if they just called his bluff history would have been dramatically different:
http://secondworldwar.co.uk/index.php/b ... phy-part-6By 1921 Adolf Hitler had virtually secured total control of the Nazi party, however this was not to the liking of all Nazis. In July of that year, whilst Hitler was away in Berlin, the discontent members of the party proposed a merger with a like-minded political party in Nuremburg in the hope that this would dilute Hitler's influence. On hearing the news of the proposed merger, Hitler rushed back to Munich to confront the party and threatened to resign. The other members were aware that Hitler was bringing in the lion's share of funds into the organization, from the collections following his speeches at meetings and from other sympathetic sources. Thus they knew they couldn't afford his resignation. Hitler then proceeded to turn the tables on the committee members and forced them to accept him as formal leader of the party with dictatorial powers.

The League of Nations was founded on January 10th, 1920 as a result of the Paris Peace Conference that ended the First World War
Their goal was to maintain world peace and work with all countries to prevent another world war from ever happening ... ...
The sanctions against Germany were so harsh and unfair that it directly led to the conditions for WWII. Funny how that works. Also, look up Basil Zaharoff.
