The Woodcutter was hosted on a site called Magic Butter for a little while, now it is back on its own. It is over ten years old. Think of Gear and Clip and realize that The Woodcutter was going on at the same time. Wacky.
I hate debt. I avoid loans like the plague regardless what it's for. I avoided school for that very reason and I paid for a broken car and fixed it up with cash because of my despise for debt.
Here is something crazy... I used to own a really crappy old car because I didn't want to pay for a nice one. Well, I spent almost as much money repairing the crappy one as I would have spent just to own the nicer one! Ha h ha! Oh, but my insurance was way less with the crappy car, so that was nice.
I was gonna link the posting here, but silly me forgot they take it off the market once you're in contract.
EDIT: I decided to check zillow since they never update their shazam!. Sure enough, I found our house. We made them an offer of $110k and they came back with a counter offer of $113k and they would pay $3k towards the closing costs.

I completely understand that! I have dumped quite a bit of money into my car and probably always will until the transmission goes out. Moving to the south side of town, however, has made me decide to buy a more winter-friendly vehicle this coming Fall.
Your registration taxes typically go up as well. At least they do here in the states.
I'm really not looking forward to seeing how crazy my insurance will be after I get a new vehicle. I'm currently paying only $200 every six months for full coverage and medical. I imagine when I get a newer vehicle, I'll be paying that much every 3 months for liability only.
