I'm not making a whole thread to complain about your answers, but that looks plastic to me. Also made of one material (though I guess it could be made from different materials), and the average person, to my knowledge, does not own one.

But very good item.

14: Is it something a layperson would own? : Yes

The question is would a layperson own it and yes, I am a layperson and I own a bunch in my shed. Other people save these things too for fires or crafts or to be lazy and not toss them out. Or if they neglected to throw it out and it's in their car, it's owned.

Think of many times you've had this item, did you not own it at the time? Sure it's of no value but you would have had total posession over it.

Also it is made out of multiple materials. There's a video I was going to share that shows it being made. It's molded Pulp, like cardboard and made out of all sorts of crap.

I do apprecieate your questions but always feel the urge to back up my answers :) I feel these are correct but everyone sees things differently. It's all about perspective. That's what can make this game go crazy sometimes - please free free to discuss this some more

I've never used a cup carrier, so can't really argue this one, but it's a bit of a grey area. I imagine if the carriers were worth more than about tuppence ha'penny, they'd insist on collecting them back in, but it's easier to make them disposable than it is to make them reusable. Of course, in England we use trays, which are wipe-clean. Much more eco-friendly. My point, though vague, is that it's like the cup itself - plastic and cardboard cups are cheap and not worth cleaning, whereas mugs are. They'd let you keep the cup, yes, but not the mug, because the cup's going in the bin anyway. I'd say they still own it, but they don't give a damn if you take it.

The layperson thing is tricky. When I asked that I meant the average person, so while some people may keep hold of them, in general one wouldn't.

I thought assumed every country / place had restuarants and coffee shops and etc with these bevervage holders, they are a dime a dozen.

Whoops, just like when making NELG I did not consider other countries :P

Well now I'm curious. I know they have McDonald's in several countries across the world and these drink carriers are used at every McDonald's and Burger King here. So what do the drink carriers look like at the McDonald's on the other side of the ocean?

Aha! A reply button has appeared.

McDonald's and Burger King here have trays instead. If you're doing a take-out option they usually don't give you anything.

We have trays here as well, for dining in. But when one person is picking up dinner for the entire family, they give you the carrier.

Though several materials go into it, it is homogenous; the answer to "multiple materials" is misleading. Based on this logic, the cement sculptures of lions at the New York Public Library are made of multiple materials. If you told someone that, they would be briefly confused.

It means nothing. It's been years since I visited McDonalds. Maybe by now they do have those trays. I just have not seen one ever.

Ok, so here's what you do.

Go to McDonalds and order 4 drinks and ask for a tray.

See what they are about to give you.

and then suddenly go "Oh no! I forgot my wallet!"

Apologize and leave :P
