Subway
Ever go to subway and are like ... what do I want? And you're in line looking over the menu and it's like a hard choice.
Me and the wife have stuff to do tonight so decided to just stop at Subway for supper on the way ...
Now I have a new problem ... 8 hours to decide what I want. I think having too much time to decide is just as bad as not having enough time. What if what I want now is now what I want later?
This is too much pressure man...

Re: Subway
Pick one at random and say you'll have that. If when you get there you're not happy with the decision, it usually means you'd rather pick the other.

Re: Subway
I'm talking about if you go out to eat.
He probably eats out at McDonalds and complains about Subway...

Re: Subway
McDonald's has the same chemical he's talking about. It's approved by the FDA as a bleaching agent. Lots of fast food joints use it, and it's in bread you can buy at the damn supermarket. It also happens to be used in yoga mats. That doesn't make it unsafe to eat or anything. Some idiot food blogger just decided to focus on Subway a while back though.
And Subway actually caved to the pressure and removed the chemical.

Re: Subway
McDonalds is decent in the UK (or maybe I just have low standards haha). I read somewhere that Mcdonalds fries in the USA have 14 ingredients, and in the UK they have 4, but whether that's definitely true or not I have no idea.
I would guess that subway is not as healthy, though I haven't eaten subway since I was about fifteen so it's probably changed a lot.

Re: Subway
Yoga mats are made of PVC (at least some are). One of the basic ingredients of PVC is salt. Can't put salt on your food anymore - it's a yoga mat ingredient. Want some bread? Can't - it contains salt, even if it is just a tiny bit. Want some water? That contains salt too. Drinking yoga mats... whatever next?personguy wrote:their food contains gym mat materials
Subway isn't dreadful, to my knowledge. They've actually redeemed themselves recently in my book by changing their gloves if they're making a vegetarian sandwich and using separate tubs of cheese for meat and vegetarian sandwiches.

Re: Subway
You can't insult Subway then say you eat at McDonalds.
That's like saying you hate tube socks but like punching yourself in the face.

Re: Subway
I'm one of those people who couldn't care less about what is in my food as long as it tastes good. When they came out with the whole pink slime uproar in many fast food chains, it didn't change the fact one bit that I loved the food and I would eat it again.
That being said, I definitely don't have the problem of deciding what I want to eat at Subway. There's pretty much one of two items I always get at Subway and it's very easy for me to decide which. I really enjoy their clubs. Most places around here that offer club sandwiches use ham, turkey, and bacon. Subway, however, uses ham, turkey, and roast beef and I love it. Sometimes I'll be in the mood for a wrap, though. For the exception of BK and McDonald's, the only wraps place we have around town is clear on the other side at the mall, and I'm not about to waste gas to drive across town to Great Wraps. So in the instance I'm craving a wrap, I'll go to Subway and instead get the Chicken and Bacon Ranch Melt as a wrap.
