It is a futuristic book wherein government control is brought into question as a group of aliens leads domestic terrorists to overthrow the government which is controlled by highly advanced and mostly evil octopods thus freeing the Human race to govern itself for the first time in ten thousand years. There is romance, betrayal, martial arts, booze, subterfuge, cross-culture comeraderie, and some explosions.
