The finale is tonight! It's down to three contestants. Claudia, Stephen, and Derrick. I saw a clip that shows one of the judges holding the trophy and previously eliminated contestants standing behind her, and you can see Stephen in the shot, so I know he doesn't make the top two. Froot Loop and I are cheering for Claudia, and plan on buying her cookbook if she wins.
I'm contemplating letting Froot Loop stay up late to watch it with me, so I don't have to wait until tomorrow night. (I can't watch it without her!)

Re: MasterChef
Yep. Home cooks compete for the title of masterchef. They get a crap ton of money and a cookbook deal. It used to be Gordon Ramsey, Graham Elliot, and Joe Bastianich. Joe left and Christina Tosi took his place.

By the way, we've learned a fair amount watching it. It inspired FL and I to make beef wellington and salmon en croute.

I really liked Shelly. Froot Loop and I were cheering for her for a little while.
By the way, check out season three. I actually messaged Monti from that season a few months ago. She was really cool!

Re: MasterChef
I saw a British food show that was a contest, and it was more informative and less catty than the American stuff. Saw some great food, too! I'll try to find it or remember the name.

Re: MasterChef
I hear the Australian MasterChef is more about cooking and less scheming, but I haven't watched it yet.

Re: MasterChef
I really wish Shay hadn't deleted all her posts.
Anyway, the new season starts June first, and I'm really looking forward to it.
I did order the cookbook from last season's winner, and it got here a few days ago. Froot Loop made off with it before I was even able to crack it open.
