Self Driving Cars Scare the Hell out of me

Post by Clarence »

Not cause I think they're dangerous ... no

But smurf I like being in control. I actually enjoy driving.

If cars drive for us might as well fall asleep and that's a world I don't think I want to live in :(

Seriously

SERIOUSLY

An informative video that I saw had you drive the car on surface roads; that is, the street where you live, and the road to the grocery store. Then the wheel folds up when you get on an interstate or road that you will be on for several hours. That makes more sense to me and I hate it less.

I'm still scared

I like to switch it up and take many different ways to a place. If all I can do is give my car a destination it will take the same boring bottom way there each time :(

On the back roads and small roads you would still be in control. In fact, if you didn't want to join the car train on the highway, I think you could still be in control. Autonavigation is an option, not a rule.

Look up the RUSH song Red Barchetta, and read the lyrics while the song plays.

It closely reflects your feelings.
