I am slightly in shock that David Bowie has died. Can't believe it. What a phenomenal guy and an incredible, inspirational musician. I mean he was one of the most (a lot of people would say the most) iconic musicians of the second half of the last century.

Two of the musical figures I love and look up to the most have died within the last few days... (bowie and boulez)

Re: David Bowie
Hubby: "David Bowie died."
Me: "Yes, my mom told me."
Daughter: "Who's David Bowie?"
Me, naming the first song title that came to mind: "Under pressure...", still thinking about another title.
Daughter: "Nope, doesn't ring a bell."
Hubby: "That guy from Labyrinth."
Daughter: "Oh, him, so sorry he's dead."
Me: "Yes, my mom told me."

Re: David Bowie
Seriously, it was my mom who told me.
My mom, who is not interested in anything that goes on in the world these days.
