smart games

Post by Wesley »

You have to admit that we are all in here because we like smart games. As in, games that make you use your brain. Like, I dunno, Never Ending Level Game or something like that.

So anyway, this smart mom used charts of the Periodic Table of Elements to make a chemistry-based version of Battleship! I think this is a fantastic idea! "Boron?" "Hit!" "Argon?" "You sank my frigate!"

I'm still waiting for the 119th element to appear on the table.

I'm actually very interested in the super heavy elements and get excited when they discover or FINALLY name one.

Did you edit the title or did I just read it as smart phones in error?

I was confused by the subject and now I'm worried for my mind cause I do find myself reading things wrong all the time.

You read smart phone in error. Never typed that. Games... smart games. Games that make you smart. Games that you play at home with no computer or other technology... just you and a friend or family member and some copies of the Periodic Table.

If they wanted to, they could have this on a laptop next to them, so any time they score a hit, they can learn about the element.

Do you guys ever use Sporcle? http://www.sporcle.com/ I know a lot of people who procrastinate by trying to name every country in the world (myself included). And, there are loads of periodic table ones.
