Well I just finished the 7th episode or so of the final season and I'm really enjoying it.

It's actually a fresh new story and a relief after watching Voyager. Voyager dragged and took me forever to complete.

Deep Space 9 was still my favourite, I liked the story and characters the most.

But yeah, seeing some adventures before the prime directive is fun, having a captain not bogged down by so many rules. In one episode he got into a full on laser gun fight on a pre warp world and I loved that!

It's been a good time, I like seeing how they decided to write first contact with many species etc.

DS9 is a close second for me against Enterprise. Both of those are really good and I have rewatched both of them multiple times. I was just telling Brandon the other day that I'm considering rewatching again. Super glad to hear you're enjoying it! I don't know too many people that really enjoyed Enterprise.

Enterprise is pretty good, it stuck to Star Trek roots, very nostalgic and made many connections to the original series.

It was very grounded and very good, especially if you're a star trek fan.

The new reboot films aren't for star trek fans, they're for people who like over the top action and ridiculousness.

Seriously, that trailer for the newest one ... what the smurf is that? It doesn't even look or feel like star trek.

They took it too far from it's roots and it's kind of offensive to a real fan who waster their time watching all these.

It's lazy as hell man, I know the writers went "How can we keep up with all the established continuity to avoid erros?"

"smurf that, let's just erase history and then we're cool"

Sons of jabberwocky

Watching those films is like watching someone beat up Gene Roddenberry for 2 hours at a time.

They changed everything too much, those Klingons and their helmets, wtf is that? The new Khan is a shitty poor man's Khan. It's no good man.

As you're talking of Star Trek, I am going to stick a link here to the Startrekkin' song (my friend who calls herself an avid Star Trek fan had never heard it before: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCARADb9asE). It's a really irritating song, but it's pretty great how well done the whole thing is considering when it was made.

I haven't seen the trailer for the newest one. I'll have to go find it.

Completely unrelated, but felt the need to post in a random talk thread...

I just now realized there is a Pepsi or Coke question in the profile section of the user control panel. How the heck long has that been there? Lol

It was one of the random things I added to confuse automated spammers from completing a fake profile as I believe it's a mandatory field.

Man I pulled out every stop I could to prevent those smurf from making accounts lol

How come when you put a knot in a hose, water flow stops ... but when you do it with the earphones cord the music still happens?

This seems more like an Ask The Zot question, and it seems even more like trolling.

First off, if you tie a knot in a hose, the water will likely still flow. If you just fold it in half, then the water stops.

Second, electricity. I know you know this, but I'll play along because we are all friends. And a trick answer to the question: if you fold the wire like you would the hose, you can actually cause metal fatigue and break the wire so now your headphones DON'T work, yet when you unfold the hose, it DOES. Ha ha ha! What do you think of that?

I like it!

That reminds me of the headphones they used to give you on an airplane... they were tubes that you plug into the wall somewhere, and the air pressure carried the sound to your ears. No metal, just plastic tubes with the ear bud.

You know how Donald Trump was fired from his own show Celebrity Apprentice ...

Legit, if he becomes president will he have the authority to force NBC to give him his show back?

Nope. That is a business thing, not a law thing. He's been cancelled, and there is nothing he can do about it.

Nothing but use the presidential race to stroke his ego on television. If we let him have his show back, will he stop trying to ruin the country?

Nah, it wasn't cancelled. He was fired from the show. Arnold is takin over.

Seriously, he was fired for bad comments he made about mexicans or something before the presidential race.

I talked to people on another forum about this, and I know for a fact he was fired, then the balloon knot tweets that he quit the show to focus on becoming president. That was febreeze and everyone chose to believe him and that he wasn't fired. Wow

This guy is delusional and so is anyone who follows him. If he wins America will be back in the dark ages, seriously.

You don't have to argue or try to prove your point. Everyone with half a brain who knows the story knows he was fired. It was all over the news for a while.

ANd if he is president, he still can't have his show back.

But he will never be president. I guarantee it.
