Trying to upload an avatar but it keeps saying the url is invalid. It won't take facebook, Instagram, or imgur direct links.

does the link you are using for the avatar and in .jpg or .png?
Basically the link has to end in the file extension

You see an image you like, you right click and instead of just SAVE, you click SAVE AS which lets you choose whether you want to save it as a gif, jpeg, png, etc.

I think he meant how does he get the image link that ends in the file extension, as Facebook likes to add a bunch of stuff to the link

Idk, I just did an Imgur direct link and it worked fine.. Same with facebook.
On facebook, if you go to the image, right click it, and click "View Image"
It should take you to a page with just the image
I screenshotted the url bar with the image link, but imgur isn't letting me upload atm
