The Soul Screamers series was written by Rachel Vincent. It is about a girl, Kaylee, who figures out that she is a bean sidhe (banshee). Whenever someone around her is about to die, she has a premonition, and it compels her to scream. And she can't say anything. All she can do is scream. If she lets the scream out, she "sings" for the soul that just passed, suspending it in purgatory. Male bean sidhes can then either wait for the female's scream to stop and let the soul pass on, or they can direct the soul back into the body, bringing the person back. In this book, she gets suspicious because girls in her town are dying mysteriously. She then goes on a "quest" of sorts to figure out why these girls are dying.

I thought it was really good. I just finished My Soul To Take, the first book. Now I have to buy My Soul To Save, the second. The third, My Soul To Keep, comes out in June.
