Properly known as Hnefatafl, sometimes called "Sheep and goats," or "Swedes and Muscovites," this asymmetrical chess style game has 9 "sheep" against 12 "goats" and one of the "Sheep" is the king and has to escape. The goats have to prevent the king from escaping. All pieces move like Rooks. I found a nice Javascript version of the game, but it does not have certain subtleties programmed in, such as a forced stalemate where I blocked all four corners.
