My husband is going on a TDY for a few days. I pissed, because I can't tag along. He's going to be an hour away from Shay! I wanna go, damn it!

Only an hour? Is it in Omaha? And wtf does TDY stand for? Why can't you go with? D:

I don't remember what it stands for. We use the letters so often, that that's what I know it as. He'll be where ever the base is.

I can't go because the military won't pay for my plane tickets, and I can't afford to buy them since we're saving up for a minivan.

Dammit! I knew I should've filed my taxes when I first got them. I'd totally pay for your trip if I had the money. And yeah, we have a base in Omaha or maybe it's just outside of Omaha.

TDY is temporary duty (yonder), and the base is indeed in Omaha. I kinda wanted to go there when I was visiting, but I was snowed in hard!
