Jeebus, Lego is a brand and product name

Why don't you just go and drink some cokes and have a few McDonaldses. Sorry but I think I`ll stick with lego bricks and lego pieces, same as bottles, cans, glasses of coke

Language is always evolving so if enough people say something, it generally becomes accepted. But it doesn't mean that im gonna use it.

Down South, all fizzy drinks are Coke. "Dammit, Mabel knows the only coke I like is Dr Pepper!" Actual quote from a Southern Gentleman....

...From the movie Slither.

I agree that it might be widely accepted in society, even though it isn't technically correct. My problem is the technically. Just like it's sometimes acceptable to use an adjective to describe an action verb, like "My computer runs so slow" (it should actually be slowly), although it's not actually proper.

I'm glad things aren't rigid and able to adapt. Change means development and no regression; persisting on rules won't prevent natural evolution.

Yeah it's all good, every year new words are added to the dictionary along with variations of exisiting ones.

If you read some original Chaucer for example, some words are just different, some now totally defunct and others still exist but with a different spelling and grammatical rules

Some of them can be fun to pick over, just to see if you can work out what's what without the "translation" :D http://www.librarius.com/cantales.htm

I like occasionally using an obscure/obsolete word to confuse people, but many people think that's inaniloquent.

I love Chaucer! People in medieval times were naughty.
The old English is very close to Nordic languages, it's interesting to see how close it was to German. If you read Shakespeare as a contrast you see how much has changed.

England has a very mixed heritage, this one is actually quite interesting to read (and as usual, spares me a whole lot of typing ^_^)
