Trains are not all that bad, but unless you time it right, they can be as expensive as planes.

When I was driving for a living, many of us used Kayak to find cheap fares. Another trick is to see which terminals are served by which airlines and try to go with the home team, so to speak. A tricky method is to bus or train to the next biggest city, then fly from there.

If I were still driving for a living, I could pick you up and take you with me. :)

Kayak! That is what I always use, unless the place I'm going to has Southwest Airlines. Then I search both Kayak.com and Southwest.

I use cheaptickets. I found a mystery flight for under $400, but you have to book before you get to see the details.

I just realized a trend. I seem to only be happy and in a good mood when I am actively doing something that doesn't allow my mind think about other things than the current task at hand. Am I doing it wrong?

That is actually not a bad plan when you have stress in your life that is beyond your control. Pick something you CAN control, and dominate it! :) The little victories slowly help change the foundations in your brain and personality, and eventually you have the wherewithal to deal with the stresses that were previously beyond your reach... or forget them in the past and get on with the good stuff you have been doing.

What if you make silly comics for stress relief / to relax and your comic counterpart is under attack by evil alien hats and your fake world is in chaos too lol :P

There's a reason I focused so hard on cooking for a while. It distracted me, and I can make some awesome fancy food now!

I wouldn't have had it either if not for my kids.

Focus on getting plane tickets, and I'll get your bottom motivated cooking!

:like:

Sometimes I wonder if kids would help. In fact, most time I think it would. And then I get in my head and think that maybe it would have the opposite effect and I would just be like my mother. Then I look at my brother, Derek. He was a lost cause, or so I thought. Gangs, shootings, drugs, failed school, etc. Then he found out his 16 yr old girlfriend (he was 18) was pregnant and had a daughter. Complete 180º! If my brother can do it, I can do it too, right?

You aren't destined to turn into your mother. Sounds like you got a great example of how not to do things, so you're ahead of the game.

Warm or hot? Either way, one explanation is that the temperature warms your face from the inside, increasing circulation and thus freeing and/or producing a little more mucous.

Do you still run cold? 97.2? If so, the warm food may indeed be having the result I described up there.

Yup! I still run cold. At first I was only noticing it with hot food. But tonight when I was eating my meatloaf, which was not all that hot since I let it cool down a lot, it started doing it too just not as bad.
