Yeah, that's right, I said Merry Christmas! Deal with it. I don't care if you are x-ian, Muslem, Hindu, Buddhist, athiest, or Jewish. I am going to wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas. It has nothing to do with any religious organization or tradition. It has everything to do with looking inside, seeing the good stuff we all have in us, and sharing it with everyone else. Not that we need an excuse to do something like that, but it is nice that the media have accidentally given us a reason to look past the sales and pricetags and pointless spending and materialism so we can honestly share a little love and kindness and compassion with everyone.

I read something the other day where it said that the most important thing about Christmas is love. So as long as you spent Christmas with people you love - friends, family, etc. you got a good deal out of Christmas.

I don't get annoyed with anything you might say to me around the hollidays, if you're wishing me well, it's cool with me. What bugs me is that some people get mad when you say Merry Christmas now.

Christmas is a specific Holiday, but this time of year there are a few Holidays floating around, so I am not offended by either phrase. Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, blah blah, have a good time! The fact that someone is wishing you well should be a good thing, not a lame reason to get offended. Those PC fukkers that get bent at every possible misunderstanding should get coal in their stocking... and a punch in the princess sophia.

I don't see people getting mad over anyone saying Merry Christmas. I see stores choosing to say Happy Holidays to encompass a wider base of customers, and Whiny Christians* getting offended that the store didn't portray their holiday specifically. I see those people then complaining that they "aren't allowed" to say Merry Christmas, which is, of course, not the case.

*by "Whiny Christians" I mean people who are both Christian and whiny. I do not mean to imply that Christian and whiny are synonymous, or that all Christians are whiny.

No, he's not a Canadian thing, he's an Austrian/German thing, but he is the one who punishes bad kids. Santa brings gifts to children who have been good, and he sneaks into your bedroom at night and steals you off into hell, disembolwing you along the way if you've been bad. Fair trade right? I try to be tolerant of other people's cultures, but this is more than a bit smurf up.

If you care to search youtube you can see videos of grown men getting together, dressing up as Krampus, and rampaging through the streets, scaring little children for life, and beating adults with larger sticks than they should be legally allowed to beat people with.

That is messed up. I don't know Krampus, we have Knecht Ruprecht (helper of Santa Claus) who comes with a birch. Bad kids don't get anything for Christmas, but they are not beaten up. Only threatened a bit to make them behave.

i spent my christmas in puerto rico, had to go to court. how fun.

to make things funner, christmas eve was my moms birthday and we were all just sitting there havin a good time, the whole family was together and suddenly...

but honestly, it was actually a pretty fun chistmas besides that, and nobody got hurt so it was all good.

oh! and us Puerto Ricans keep our tree's until February 2nd. then, we BURN THEM! not kidding, this is a REAL tradition we do in PR. the ashes from the tree's are supposed to be saved until lent.
