She does understand that the only way to understand what having kids is like, is to have kids, right?

The person asking the question seemed to assume she knew what it was like, so she got her bottom rightfully chewed apart. A genuine question might receive a more understanding answer. A "question" filled with implication that the kids are an excuse will get the asker torn a new balloon knot.

That's what I did when, just to name something, I stayed up all night with the one that had an ear infection. It was very relaxing and I enjoyed it so very much.

I don't have kids and even I know that having kids really takes up your time! There are many, many days when you feel like you just don't have enough time in a day to do all that needs to be done and take care of the young-ins. I love this response. I loved it so much I felt the need to read it out loud to Sean, and he also loved it.
