My palette (Caution: awsome artwork inside.)
This is the palette of the painting I am making right now. I will not post a work in progress. Wait until I'm finished.

Re: My palette (Caution: awsome artwork inside.)
It's done!
Here's the result:
and a detail:
It's on a 10 by 10 inch board. The lower edge does not show entirely, I hope you'll forgive me for that. For the baby's face I used a pic of Apple Jack, with permission of Chex of course.
The inspiration for this painting came in the moment between sleeping and being awake. "Things" flash before my eyes in that moment and sometimes I have to paint those things. I'll be interested to find out what you all think it means, before I give my opninion about that.
Before I did the above one, I finished another one that I like to share.
I could not get a pic that does the painting justice, because it is very shiny. The background is black, with few redish "flames", although it appears to be greyish. The thin red lines are cotton threads that I glued on. In the red petals I applied leafgold, but I had to sand it down a lot, because it was too much. It's made on 20 by 20 inch canvas. It represents an emotion. Guess which one.

I'm still trying to figure out the meaning behind it. I'm sooo dense with that aspect of art.
As for what emotion is represented by your second piece, my thought was lust, but that could be my own bias influencing my interpretation.

The first piece looks like protection and innocence. I imagine an older version of that baby breaking free.
And the second piece looks a lot like anger to me. When I'm angry I feel a similar form burning in the back fo my neck. imo of course

Clovvach, you nailed it. The second one is anger.
The first one represents the inner child in everyone, but most people are afraid to release that inner child.

I had a portrait to represent anger once... I'm going to do lust next.

I didn't like th second coz of the flower thing but i really liked the baby , it is a beautifull piece . Means how babies are helpless . they need others hands to survive , we're not animals . we need our fox!

Apparently I never commented on these... I like them both, but I really attune well to the second one. What kind of paint did you use for these?

How do you get it to come out so glossy? Mine are so dull.

Re: My palette (Caution: awsome artwork inside.)
That must be the glossy gel medium that I used to glue on the threads and as a finish.
