I can't decide if the parallelism is funny or just sad!

Make that just sad.
It was not just in the middle ages they thought that way. I'm left handed, and in second grade I was forced to write with my right hand.
Still my mother-in-law is very happy that my children are all right-handed.

Yikes, Lalou! I mean, I hope my kids are all right-handed, simply for ease. (smudging with pencils, pilot pens, etc) But to force a child to use their non-dominant hand? That must have been so frustrating!! I've tried writing lefty, and it's damn near impossible for me.

Yes, and then to do that to a six-year-old. But I got back to the teacher.
I learned knitting and crocheting the right hand way. And until a few years ago I did both the right hand way. But then I learned myself to do it left handed. Now I never do it right handed again.
That'l teach her.
Muahaha.
