Woot!

Post by Shay »

There are some people who are addicted to Ebay, and some who are addicted to Amazon. Then there's people like me who are addicted woot! I watch this site religiously. I'll even spend hours reading the comments and past posts. I have decided to start posting when I feel there are quality woots available.

Today is a 19 piece glass Pyrex baking set for $39.99 + $5 shipping. I have been thinking about replacing mine for a while now because they're old and kind of gross. We did not take care of them in the beginning and so they have definitely seen their better days. I also do not have any glass mixing bowls, nor a pie dish.

This item is great for yourself or even for upcoming Christmas gifts, and relatively cheap comparatively speaking!

I haven't purchased a set yet. I'm on the fence, but the more I think about it the closer I come to clicking "I want one!"

Honestly, you will not use some of those pieces, but the ones you do use will become your favorites!

The only one I don't think I'd end up using is the square one. Otherwise all the others would definitely be used. Even the small custard cups. I would not need four of them and wouldn't use them for custard. I would actually use them for dips instead. I think I am definitely in for one of these sets.

I'm a sucker for Firefly. Also can't wait for next week's derby to start. Totally going to get my nerd on with their Tabletop Roleplay theme.

So we've been thinking about getting a surround sound system. However, we don't really know anything about speakers and quality in that area. Just wondering if these are a good deal or not?

You know I am old school and I say you have two ears, so two speakers is enough. You know Effie feels the same way. Now, if you don't want to make sure your amp will drive your speakers, match impedance, check phase distortion, all that stuff... a surround system is the "lazy man's" quick and easy way to good sound. Notice I did not say great? Right. But it will be good. Before you buy that, have a quick look at Best Buy since that is almost all they have as far as audio. You can compare prices that way, too.

For all you Poe and Shakespear fans, they are re-releasing several designs on t-shirts, long-sleeves, hoodies, posters, and totes.

And I made Mr. chex order me the Verona Apothecary t-shirt, and the Red Death hoodie. :D

I really want the Red Death hoodie, but don't feel I should buy it because I don't know the reference at all. The design and the colors and everything are just super awesome imo.

Holy shazam!, that's long. I'll read it tonight and then I can justify buying the hoodie. Lol!

On a side note, I just got this shirt in the mail today. Friggin' LOVE it! "Winners at Life" It is still available for anyone interested, but I would get it before the end of the week because it probably won't be there long since it's in the danger zone of The Reckoning.

That one is great!

I loved the Shakespeare A-Z. Ophelia in a fishbowl, and Yorik the skull.
