Goosebumps (series)

Post by KecleonFan »

Does anyone like R. L. Stine's greatest masterpiece or one the spin-offs. Or do you just want to talk Goosebumps. I will begin writing about the books & anyone is free to post pictures.

I read some of the Goosebumps as a kid. I watched the show, a few times, too. I liked A Night in Terror Tower. (I think that's what it was called, anyway)

I think I read a Fear Street book, too. The Stepsister, maybe?

I much preferred the Give Yourself Goosebumps series. I hate reading, but when I can choose my own adventure, I get into the books a lot easier. I didn't mind the show, but I liked Are You Afraid of the Dark a whole lot better.

I like all of the books & Give Yourself Goosebumps was a highlight for me. I only have one though (Trapped in Bat Wing Hall #3) which was pretty good, but I have been studying other books too.

What do you have Shay?

Well I don't own any Goosebump books anymore. Most of my books now are mangas and Pagan books. I need to get Absolute Power (one of my favorite books of all time) and replace my stolen copy of The Abhorsen series. But I probably won't invest in any Goosebump books until I have kids.

Why the shock? They're childrens' books, and Shay is in her mid 20s. I think I stopped reading the series when I was about 11.

"Are you afraid of the DarK" was where it's at. When that giant pinall was chasing the guy in the mall all Indiana Jones like.

This one? - It's a very good series :)

I almost did that too. But I sucked it up & read The Haunted Mask. I've been a fan of series ever since. :)

Yup. I had that exact set. I recently found out that they have since come out with another (maybe even two) to the series. I MUST get these and read them. This series is the only time I was able to read through an entire book back to back without getting bored or falling asleep. In fact, I actually stayed up for 36 hours straight reading them back to back. (I'm a slow reader, don't judge me.)

Everyone's going off topic. We're talking about Goosebumps, not the Abhorsen series. Come on! :(

I actually just got a new shirt in the mail today. Of course, it was from woot. My supervisor apparently buys woot shirts all the time as well. He was wearing one on Friday that I recognized and now we have conversations about the past and upcoming derbies.

Also, this one time at band camp...

That movie made me wish I was in band.

Hah, I typed "bang" at first. I love my fingers.

Shut up.

No, Shay and I both said we read some. But I'm pretty sure it's been over 15 years since I read any of them.
