The Pet Zone
This is the spot to brag about you're pets. (If you have any that is.)
I'll get back here to talk about my pets, but right now I'm busy. So do some pet talk while I'm absent.

In no particular order I have had guppies, dogs, cats, parakeets, a squirrel, a turtle, and a bat. We nursed a pigeon back to health once.

I have had fish, gerbils, hamsters, a tortoise, chickens and cats, although the tortoise lives at my grandma's house. Now I have chickens and a cat.

Re: The Pet Zone
My first pet ever was a mouse. It put outside while my mother was cleaning and a cat came and ate him. My second pet ever was a white bunny named Trix who could do flips. He got out of his cage all the time and would poop everywhere in my room. So my mother gave him to the neighbors...who then fed it to their dogs.
Third pet was my favorite cat Gracy. She was the greatest friend I ever had. As she grew up, she became an indoor and outdoor cat. She would always go across the street once a day and come back with a present for us, usually a bird or a mouse. I was in first grade at the time. She was coming back one morning while my two brothers and I were playing in the yard and mom and dad were working on the car. She had her paw on the curb and was almost home when a car came flying through. They honked and scared her frozen. It was only 25 mph but they were going at least 35 or 40 mph. There wasn't anyone coming the other direction and they didn't even bother to go around. I watched my best friend get run over right in front of me, literally like only three feet away from where I was standing. I also watched her struggle because the car did not kill her. There was nothing left of her really, but she was still alive... very, very hard for me then, and still hard for me now when I think back.
Since then I have had many animals with much less drastic, heartbreaking stories. Many cats, a dog, fish, a hamster, squirrels, and Guinea pigs. I pretty much just stick to cats now.

Holy crap! I forgot about Guido, my cute little African Pygmy Hedgehog girlie! She was totally cute and so much fun. I would not mind having another hedgehog in the hear future.

Re: The Pet Zone
We had (when I was young) several dogs, rabbits, cats, ducks, love birds, atlantic canaries, zebra finches, tortoises, turtles, diamond doves, king quailles, fish.
When I got married we got a dog, but it was a very nervous creature, and when we had kids we had to bring it back, because she would snap at the children.
We now have to lovely cats and four goldfish.
