lunches
At work I find myself usually buying something instead of bringing my own lunch, I never know what to bring.
Anyone got any suggestions for things I can bring for my lunch at work?
It should be easy, cheap and not require a lot of hassle or time to prepare.

Re: lunches
Sandwiches. And some fruit. A cereal bar or two. Some yoghurt. Leftovers from dinner the day before. If you prepare dinner make a bit more for the next day (if you can warm it up at your working place).

Re: lunches
There's those frozen pastas that you just microwave. You can usually find them on sale for $1 at times.

I say buy your food . Don't bother making it, while you'll have a partner\girlfreind make her do it for you.
'till then --buy 'n eat.

One of those SmatOnes or Lean Cuisine meals. If your office has a microwave, of course.

Re: lunches
Make up something the day before if you're always tight for time. If you normally buy a fancy sandwich for lunch, order the plain version and add the fancy part. Like my dad always had cheese and pickle sandwiches but it cost him 30p more for the pickle so he buys cheese and adds pickle.

Re: lunches
When I can I go to the supermarket around an hour before it closes, and check the fresh food counter - sandwiches, and mixed fruits/salads. They can only put them on sale for one day so anything that's left at the end gets marked down to something like 50 or 20p. I've even had stuff free before when I picked up one or two things and was offered the rest..
Then I just leave it in the fridge overnight and take it to work the next day, the stuff is fine and perfectly fresh for a good 72 hours as long as it's kept cold..
