Strange food combinations
Okay, does anyone eat any weird food combinations like i do? i was prompted to do this after i made a plate of banana and cheese (yep, just banana and mature cheddar cheese cut up and eaten together) the other day- still tastes as good as it did when i was little and my mum used to make it for me. I also make really weird hot chocolate... like, melting crunchies and maltesers in boiling water and things (it was actually really nice). once i tried putting orange squash into my hot chocolate to make orange hot chocolate but it didn't really work... it was disgusting. I also used to eat cereal (just shreddies- aka. british chex- or shredded wheat or something) and an actimel everyday... and now i just pour the actimel in my cereal and use it instead of milk.
Me and my friends once made a cake- we shoved maltesers, chocolates, minstrels, anything in it- then her oven didn't work, so we grilled it. it went completely black, but we cut off the top and ate it anyway. for breakfast. it was really nice.

Cucumber and ketchup sandwiches.
Peas with ketchup as a meal.
Ooh, at my friend's birthday party last year we had fish fingers and custard (it was Doctor Who themed), but we got bored of that, so we had jelly babies with custard, sausage rolls with custard, cheese and pineapple sticks with custard... the weirdest was prawn cocktail crisps and custard. I don't even like custard!

Cheese and treacle on a sandwich.
Orangejuice on muesli, rather than milk. (I loath milk).
Peanutbutter with a little sprinkle of sugar.
Gravy on applesauce.

Someone I know eats bacon with maple syrup. Apparently it's nice. I don't really want to try it and find out though.

My husband used to put mayonaise on fried rice, until I taught him otherwise.

I once told Clarence to try sliced apples and peanut butter. He told me that was as crazy as BBQ milk.

You got me hooked on the Doritos and cottage cheese.
I also like cottage cheese with a little sugar sprinkled on it for dessert. When I make baked spaghetti, I'll put a little cottage cheese (sans sugar) on the side of my plate, and eat it together. I don't stir it together though. Just a bite of each on my fork.

Re: Strange food combinations
Itmight not be weird per se, but my family is the only one I know who does this.
Whenever we have pasta we take a slice of American cheese and put it on the pasta then add the sauce. I've never heard of anyone else doing that outside my family lol.
I also dip Oreos in peanut butter.

Re: Strange food combinations
The chocolate Philadelphia is delicious. It's tangier than Nutella. And of course we have it here! Philadelphia PA and all.
Yaz, we do that, but with provolone cheese. I don't buy American cheese anymore.

Re: Strange food combinations
When I was in Spain the lady I was staying with gave me a processed bread, processed chicken, and processed cheese sandwich with margarine. I can't stand margarine or processed cheese. I understand that it was so that the food didn't go off, but it wasn't pleasant.
