Death Note - Manga

Post by Moe »

The other day I got a hold of all of the volumes of the Death Note Manga.

I'm currently about 1/3 done with the set. I haven't really done anything with manga before, so I was kind of reluctant to get it.
Most of it I already pretty much know what's going to happen, because I watched the anime, but it's still a good read :)

Amlak, Quick! What's your favourite Manga that you would recommend?

I've only read a few. But if you like sports, try Captain Tsubasa.

What's your favourite?

Also, slightly back on topic, I've found some good Korean Manga lately

Aside from the typical top three (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece), I've enjoyed anime series such as Death Note, Hajime no Ippo, and Grandizer.

But my favorite would definitely be Code Geass. If you haven't seen, watch it when you get the chance. Way too good ot be missed by any fan of anime.

I also watch Toriko when I'm in the mood, but I'm thinking of maybe following the manga instead, as the anime adaptation is a bit too censored for my liking and I've heard great things about the manga.

I greenified(made green) the one(s) I've at least started and eventually plan to finish
and made Orange(red?) the ones I've seen

There is so much good anime out there -- and even more good manga -- that it is impossible to read it/watch it all.

I plan to find ones that I like, such as Last Exile, and watch them. I don't worry about trying to catch up with what everyone else has seen, because it will never happen.

Yeah, I tried to get into Dr. Slump as it was done by the same person behind Dragon Ball & Dragon Ball Z, but after watching around 50 episodes of it, I just gave up on trying to finish it and so stopped watching. It was way too boring for me.

A super awesome site for you anime lovers. This keeps me busy from time to time when I'm exceptionally bored at work. I have yet to have any problems finding an anime I'm interested in. All videos are English subbed. The only detractor to this site (which isn't that big of a deal to me) is a lot of shows are listed in their original names, so sometimes it can be hard to find what you're looking for if the English name is different from the Japanese name. (Example: Gundam Wing is listed as Shin Kidou Senki Gundam W)

Is this better than all the other anime streaming sites out there?

I prefer to download as well, but when you're at a computer that is not allowed (like when I am at work), then it's a great site. I've been to a few other streaming sites, but I personally like this one the best.
