Omg , lots of English ppl have in their bath-room two taps, one for the cold wah'Er the other for the hot wah'Er. bad invention ever. the funny thing is that they don't get over it and most of'em still use it. this is 'like wtf?' thing.

The worst invention for me was the door. I still forget to open them before walking.

The reason for that is in some places - mainly older ones -, the hot water is stored in a large tank in the roof, or basement, and only has to be heated once and can be kept hot for several hours afterwards. This means that you have a consistent temperature from your hot tap, (you can set the exact temperature you want it to be kept at) and don't have to deal with it starting cool and getting hotter the longer you leave it running, also it's a lot more enery efficient than heating the water up every time you open the tap. The downside is that the water in the tank tends to get a bit old and isn't all that great for drinking - it's not harmful, but it can be kind of like drinking from a glass that's been left out for a couple of days, so you need two separate taps to stop your drinking water from mixing with water that you only want to use for cleaning.

In my place now we have mixing taps in the kitchen and bath, but separate on the sink in the bathroom (and no tank, our hot and cold water comes from the same place)

And I think I would like to put forward HM Revenue and Customs - aka the tax office - for worst invention ever...

The larg tank of hot watter ? we have it here too, still ther's no prob' to use them , the hot watter comes from the tank on the roof and they mix with the cold watter as soon as they get to my tap.
About the drinking watter, do you drink from the tap? coz we use mineral watter coz the watter here sucks.

The fingertip toothbrush is excellent for infants.
