There is a saying,"It only takes a few bad apples to spoil the whole bunch."
Well, these bad apples are certainly despoiling the public opinion of modern Christianity.

They are a specific group of a specific branch of Baptists who take certain parts of the King James version of the bible to be the literal word of God. Specifically the parts about showing love by beating your children and your wife. And women have no part in life or religion except to be subservient to the men in their lives.
I find it hard to believe that in this day and age there are still groups of people who think like this.
