And why will you not read Slipknot lyrics Effie?
"There's one at the door, at the gate to damnation. Is it thief, thug or Shay? There's one at the door, and there's room for one more till the end of Creation."
- Squatterbloat, from The Sandman #4 "A Hope In Hell"

"It's better to have a gun and not need it, than to need a gun and not have it." - Christian Slater in True Romance

If I lived in China I'd have some Chinese children
Now if I lived in Russia, I'd have some Chinese children
If I lived in Prussia, I'd have some Chinese children
Well if I lived in India, they'd still be Chinese children uh huh
Now if I lived in Ireland, I'd have some Chinese children
Well if I lived in Spainland, they'd still be Chinese children
And if I lived in Greeceland, they'd still be Chinese children
Now if I lived in my land, which I do, I'd still have Chinese children
And if I lived in Iceland, I'd still have Chinese children
Well if I lived in Greenland, I'd still have Chinese children uh huh
Well if I lived in Thailand, I'd have some Chinese children
Well if I lived in Japan, I'd still have Chinese children
Yeah if I lived in Brooklyn, I'd still have Chinese children
Yeah if I lived in Oakland, they'd still be Chinese children
Well I got Chinese children
I got Chinese children...

Burn all the candles out
Make a wish but not aloud
Relive the here and now
To see you now and then
I'm a revolvin' door
I've seen it all before
I will begin again
But I can't start until I've seen the end

"Weightless" - Black Lab

I can see
See you there
Hanging there weightless in the air
Wind and sunlight in your hair
I can see you
I can see you there

Your olive skin
Your secret smile
Betrayed again a secret island in your mind
Lost forever
Lost before your time

Who is to say?
Who is to know the truth?
And who is there left
When nothing they said can save you

Broken glass
A bleeding wrist
A second chance for a simple kiss
I waited for you at the edge
Could you take such a risk?

On your knees, on your back
Who'd you call when things got bad?
Did they answer?
Did you ask?
'Cause I would answer
I would tell you this

Who is to say?
Who is to know the truth?
When no one is left
And nothing they said can save you

Who is to say?
Who is to blame?
And who will you give yourself to?
'Cause nobody wants you more than I want you

Who is to say?
Who is to blame?
'Cause nobody wants you like I do

You can see the road ahead in your dream
And the engine's more a sigh than a scream
And your ghosts look more like angels from there
And the coast comes like a raft of warm air

We have a lyrics thread?

I synced my SGT with my laptop the other day and got a load of my sister's music, including a song called 'The Last Night', by Skillet, which I discovered on my way home today. Here's part of it:

You come to me with scars on your wrist
You tell me this will be the last night feeling like this
I just came to say goodbye
I didn't want you to see me cry, I'm fine
But I know it's a lie.

This is the last night you'll spend alone
Look me in the eyes so I know you know
I'm everywhere you want me to be.
The last night you'll spend alone,
I'll wrap you in my arms and I won't let go,
I'm everything you need me to be.

It's a beautiful song, written by one of the band members for a friend of his who had been cutting herself and had gone to him to say goodbye, having decided to end her life. I'm not sure, but I don't think she did in the end.

I hope we stay
Thick as thieves, butter and bread
Pillars of colonial homes
And I wish I could shout you out
False start
Don't get your cane caught in the cracks
Buckle your seatbelts, polluting the airwaves
Single and lonely

And you said you are
Unconsolable
And you said you are
And you said you are
Unconsolable
Uncontrollable

Come up to my house
Drink with my friends
You can lay on my couch
Achin' to start all over again
We going back to your room
But wait a minute it's my room
And was it something I said
Was it something I said

Come up to my house
Drink with my friends
You can lay on my couch
Achin' to start all over again
We going back to your room
But wait a minute it's my room
Throwing up on my bed
And was it something I said

I hope we stay
Thick as thieves, butter and bread
Pillars of colonial homes
And I wish I could shout you out
False start
Don't get your cane caught in the cracks
Buckle your seatbelts, polluting the airwaves
Single and lonely

And you said you are
Unconsolable
And you said you are
And you said you are
Unconsolable
Uncontrollable

That's how it starts
We go back to your house
We check the charts
And start to figure it out

And if it's crowded, all the better
Because we know we're gonna be up late
But if you're worried about the weather
Then you picked the wrong place to stay
That's how it starts

And so it starts
You switch the engine on
We set controls for the heart of the sun
One of the ways we show our age

And if the sun comes up, if the sun comes up, if the sun comes up
And I still don't wanna stagger home
Then it's the memory of our betters
That are keeping us on our feet

You spent the first five years trying to get with the plan
And the next five years trying to be with your friends again

You're talking 45 turns just as fast as you can
Yeah, I know it gets tired, but it's better when we pretend

It comes apart
The way it does in bad films
Except in parts
When the moral kicks in

Though when we're running out of the drugs
And the conversation's winding away
I wouldn't trade one stupid decision
For another five years of life

You drop the first ten years just as fast as you can
And the next ten people who are trying to be polite
When you're blowing eighty-five days in the middle of France
Yeah, I know it gets tired only where are your friends tonight?

And to tell the truth
Oh, this could be the last time
So here we go
Like a sales force into the night

And if I made a fool, if I made a fool, if I made a fool
On the road, there's always this
And if I'm sewn into submission
I can still come home to this

And with a face like a dad and a laughable stand
You can sleep on the plane or review what you said
When you're drunk and the kids leave impossible tasks
You think over and over, "hey, I'm finally dead."

Oh, if the trip and the plan come apart in your hand
Tou look contorted on yourself your ridiculous prop
You forgot what you meant when you read what you said
And you always knew you were tired, but then
Where are your friends tonight?
