Went to a party last night. Noisy, so everyone had to yell to talk to each other. Also did some karaoke.
Now my voice is hoarse.

I work afternoons again. We'll see how long it goes until I get tired of working afternoons and want to go back to mornings

At the last minute, a friend invited me to a hockey game last night in Philly. It was fun!

I had the same idea from Clarence, only years later.... I used the drum from a clothes washer as a burn barrel. Nice looking fires ~

Had a break in the weather... a week ago it was freezing, but for the past three days I could go outside in a t-shirt or light jacket. I'm okay with this.

Ninja and his wife came to pick up me and BoGZ, and we drove down to visit my sister and her family for Thanksgiving.

There was good food, a turkey and a chicken, a purple sweet potato pie, roasted brussels sprouts. My other nephew made Cherries Jubilee. We had a little bonfire in the back yard. Played JackBox games. Good fun was had by all ~

The Count and I each have our own long standing Thanksgiving traditions, and we love and respect each other too much to ask the other to change them, so we spend Thanksgiving apart. Every year on the Saturday after, we each bring Thanksgiving leftovers, and have our own "Leftoversgiving" on his couch. This year, I'm on my own couch, and we are eating leftovers together via FaceTime after he got a positive rapid test this morning. I drove 40 minutes round trip earlier today to drop a piece of my pumpkin pie off on his porch.

I have been burning things almost every day for over a week now. I like watching the fire dance and play off the wood and debris as it slowly burns. I'll see what I can do about getting some pics and maybe some video.

I think I am doing overtime the next two nights..

The Geminid meteor shower is going on, peaking just after Clarence' birthday. Last night as I wheeled the garbage can to the curb, I took a moment to look up. In less than a minute, I saw a nice shooting star ~

Did a bit of shovel work with some snow. My neighbors up the street have a snow blower. But they only do the sidewalk directly in front of their house. Not an extra inch. So I cleared my sidewalk, and the rest of the way up the block.

Building a bathroom in a friends house. It is fun and exciting that there was nothing just a couple of weeks ago, now we are 99% finished ~

Almost had to break a pair of handcuffs at work today, since they wouldn't unlock. Luckily my coworker didn't quite put them on as tight as he should have, and I was able to slip them. then someone else, once I got them off, was able to get the key unstuck, and then open. also after dousing them in lubricant to loosen them up

Standard cuffs? Old style? With the push pin to lock? Either way, dang... glad you were not stuck!

I got a flat tire yesterday. Roadside Assistance said 2 hours for a 6 mile tow? Nah, I just called a couple of friends, pulled the tire, got it fixed, and put it back on myself.

Standard style, the ones with like 2 or 3 links between them. Not the new hinged ones. And eh, of I was stuck they have the tooling to cut them off! They've used me to train the new people on the restraints so much I probably wouldn't have even cared.

The cuffs we used were from the transport cage l, which get used so often they are probably reaching the end of most of their lifecycles anyways
